How to install underglow light?

When installing underglow lights, many customers prefer to do it themselves to save money typically spent at an auto store. But how can you install them?

Upon purchasing a set of underglow lights, the first step is to carefully inspect the package. Upon opening, ensure a thorough check of the products to identify any missing or damaged accessories.

A complete set of 6pcs light strip style Pro Plus underglow lights includes:

  • LED light strip: 6pcs
  • SP105E controller: 1pcs
  • Wire harness (including switch and relay): 1pcs
  • 2-meter extension cord: 5pcs
  • Y-type extension cord: 1pcs
  • Installation instructions: 1pcs
  • Accessories: 1 set, including buckle, screw, position sticker, zip tie

After making sure everything in the package looks good, hold off on installing right away. Connect the light strips exactly as our instructions say for a test run. If you run into any problems while testing, reach out to us right away. Once testing is done and everything works fine, go ahead with the actual installation.

Step 1: Get some cleaning stuff like a cleaner and cloths. Clean where you want the lights to go. This makes sure dirt doesn't mess up the stickiness. Stick the lights on one by one in this order: Front, Side, Rear. While sticking, press them down and peel off the sticky cover slowly. Don't peel off the whole cover at once or dirt might get in and mess up the stickiness. If the surface isn't flat, use the black stickers and ties to fix it.

Step 2: Take out the 4 waterproof extension cords with male & female connectors from the box. Connect the light strips using them. Use position sticker and zip tie to secure any extra cord to the underglow. After fixing all the light strips, connect them to the Y extension cable at the Front. Then, connect the Y extension cable to the last 2-meter extension wire in box (with female and red-black-yellow 3 pin wire). This last wire bridges between the light strip and the controller. Female connector connects to the Y extension cable, and the other end goes through the car underglow towards the car battery.

Step 3: Connect the 2-meter cable (with female and red-black-yellow 3 pin wire) to the SP105E controller. Black wire to negative (GND), red wire to positive (VCC), yellow wire to signal (DAT).

Step 4: Use the wire harness with switch and fuse. Connect its red and black wires to the SP105E controller: black to negative (GND), red to positive (VCC). Then, attach the other wire (with fuse) to the 12V car battery's positive and negative terminals.

After finishing all car connections, do a power-on test to ensure everything's hooked up right and the lights work. Then, enjoy driving with your awesome underglow lights!
